What I love about Nagel is the eyes. His women are always powerful, dangerous-looking, in control, with an intensity smoldering just beneath the surface of their gaze, locked on the viewer. Even when it's a risqué nude, this isn't pornography, and she's not objectified: you're the object, honey.

I like "Let This Grieving Soul Retire," because I completely understand being an incompetent mook surrounded by amazing friends and family members who are so much cooler than me, but whose incredible merits cause me to receive unearned accolades by association.

IMO one of the three best Disney Sega titles, the others being World of Illusion and Quackshot.

Yeah, the 912 is steep, but I got it for the falcon nib, which I paid a Nibmeister to grind to "Spencerian" spec and it's now my primary instrument for all that calligraphy you see me posting occasionally.

My apartment building has one of those little libraries to which we are encouraged to donate unwanted books and from which any can take. Someone, likely a grad student or a professor at Wayne State, keeps leaving texts on linguistics which I have somewhat greedily snatched up. Today I left a note.
