@rickriordan.bsky.social I was really, really looking forward to the second season of Percy Jackson and the Olympians. And while I still admire you and all the creatives involved, I’ve gotta get rid of Disney+. Hope they do the right thing. Sincerely a librarian

I wrote this poem two years ago (I really don’t write a lot of poetry) and it feels relevant even more now. Image because of length.

I just wanted to thank you. You are doing everything you can to fight, inform, and amplify our voices. I know that you are making sacrifices right now of your time, your relationships, and your safety and I wanted to show my gratitude. Thank you

I’m just wondering. Did I miss it or has anyone said how much we are paying El Salvador to imprison the immigrants we illegally deported? I mean we’re getting rid of waste, right? So how much are we paying El Salvador?🧐

Over 6000 people came to the #handsoff protest in Houston, TX while there isolated thunderstorms and under a tornado watch. This was an enormously successful event and there was hardly any news coverage. Why? It wasn’t a secret. @travisabc13.bsky.social

We had over 6000 in Houston, but the little media coverage we received has been mostly reporting “hundreds”. Kudos to the chronicle for fixing their report! @maddow.msnbc.com

@maddow.msnbc.com this would be fantastic. A shadow correspondent’s dinner
Hey NBC and Seth Meyers, y’all need to book the largest possible venue in D.C. on April 26th and do a competing fundraiser and comedy show that actually celebrates the First Amendment. Televise it. Make Amber Ruffin the central act. Send a message that free speech is non-negotiable.

I want to ask a serious question. What if the men who were sent to El Salvador really were Venezuelan gang members? Do they not deserve due process? What if they were trying to escape the gang by coming here? What if they are people who deserve humane treatment no matter their crimes?

Thank you @maddow.msnbc.com for talking about the dismantling of the Institute of Museum and Library Services on your show. This is going to affect every library in the US in one way or another and millions of people and had received no major media attention.

Anybody feel like the Bidens and Obamas might need to seek refuge outside the country? Especially with what we suspect about former President Biden’s health? I don’t want them to be imprisoned. I don’t know. I’m torn.

This will affect everyone who uses libraries. The IMLS provides grants to the State Libraries to provide Inter Library Loan Services (materials from other library systems not affiliated with yours) and research databases. IMLS also helps to support smaller libraries with funding for various services.
If libraries have ever benefited you in any way, small or big, this is your time to speak up. Libraries quite literally exist to support community, to support *you*. Please don't let this administration strip away support for libraries. The impact will be devastating for us all. bit.ly/41QMGmL

If the Young Boys These Days are looking for a role model, Larry here gives a pretty solid one -- cares about his community, listens to critics and grows, and yeah, is man enough to admit he's wrong and apologize.
This elderly man showed up to support an anti-trans bill in my home state and then, because he had to wait hours to testify, he was stuck listening to queer folks rally against it

By the time it was his turn to speak, he'd changed his mind

Never doubt that speaking out can change hearts and minds
