Most of the time I play Lina as a bit of a jerk and selfish and just wanting to fight and make money and maybe over indulge in drinking but I often uncover depths to her character that I didn't even know were there while playing through our campaign. It's fun to be surprised by my own D&D character.

All of this to say, the ZOMBIES franchise continues to vex me long after I have watched all of the movies.

Even if you didn't want to go the above route, fire and wind just aren't like the greatest representation of duality or opposites here? Like fire and ice are way more notable opposites, and if the Vampires had ice powers you could say they're harnessing the chill of the grave or some shit like that.

Like for example, you could think of fire and water coming together to make steam which could symbolize creating something that, if not greater than the sum of its parts, then at least can be considered something novel and distinct out of a union of two previously considered incompatible parts.

But that's like not a true duality right? Like the combination doesn't create anything new? The wind just makes the Daywalkers fires bigger & hotter. It's like they're saying the Vampires are there just to help the Daywalkers be their best selves, but what do the Daywalkers do for the Vampires?
