Almost all of Oxford's pre-C19 buildings were refaced in the 1950s to replace badly decayed Headington stone with new Clipsham stone (same geological strata, different location). Here are some before/during/after photos of @lincolncollege.bsky.social taken in 1957, '58 & '61.
