How did a Tui sombrero end up in an Ottawa op shop?

Frankie did not venture out from under the bed for 3 days when he first came to us. He’s now closely involved in all parts of our daily life. Bedtime reading is especially interesting.

It’s been 2 years since my mother unexpectedly died and some days it feels like it happened yesterday. Today is one of those days 💔

I have another dairy-related complaint: the shape of cheese blocks over here.

Our high commission is in the Shopify building and nobody at the front could tell me what floor it was on. Classic 😂

This one is fancy. Obviously indicated by the gold lettering but also because it has a lid. Smart because half-empty bags are prone to slipping out of the plastic jug while pouring and this results in milk spilling out too fast. The resulting over-milked tea will make you sad.

So the bags use 75% less plastic than jugs but I haven’t missed this form of milk delivery.

Us “not cat people” have ended up with two kittens and they are an absolute delight.
