Congrats to Dr Audrey Adji, who has been awarded the AMR Small Equipment Grant to help progress the Mind-Your-Heart study. The project is investigating how heart + blood vessel health contribute to brain ageing + cognitive decline - incl the progression from mild cognitive impairment to dementia.

💡Dr Vaibhao Janbandhu and his team are uncovering how heart valves become stiff and calcified - the root cause of valvular heart disease. By doing so they hope they can detect the disease earlier and develop preventative treatments.

Our researchers can create 100s of millions of stem cells far faster thanks to a new bioreactor in our #InnovationCentre’s Stem Cell Production Facility, a partner site of Phenomics Australia NCRIS. It will also allow scientists to scale up stem cell-derived disease models. @MedResearchNSW
