Yeah I don't hate everything about the game and I was happy to see the necromancers fleshed out but I just can't help but thinking that it could have been even better if the writers(or whoever is to blame) had more guts.

well you see this would require a little bit more thinking than ea is willing to pay for.

yeah it was definitely really afraid of making any companion or ally even bad person adjacent but still wanted pirates and necromancers so they just made them all toothless caricatures.

Yeah it honestly feels a lot like a childrens book or something sometimes but that might be insulting to children.

Yeah and this will continue, everyone is bending over backwards to help you just because? compared to the other da games where they invent new slurs for you the moment you enter the room and you really have to try to get people to work together.

I still finished it but I agree the entire game is pretty much devoid of any conflict besides the main story, everyone just gets along for zero reason.

You could say that

Empire brain, when bad things happen to you it's unfortunate but unavoidable but when bad things happen to us it's uniquely bad and awful and everyone should feel bad that it's happening to the greatest country in the world(that everyone loves), and if you don't you're literally hitler.

I'm starting to think this is how a lot of the extremely online left and some of the right start out, getting overly invested in things that doesn't really matter to their real life until it consumes them completely, if you live everyday hyper aware of every injustice you'll turn hateful fast.

Of course when it's politics that you know will affect you that gets almost impossible but you have to sort of pace yourself so you don't fall into total apathy or total I'm going to firebomb a Walmart

I think this is what some of the more insane voices here/on twitter etc have failed to do, you sometimes see people caring so deeply about everything all at once and of course you'll go insane if you make every problem in the world yours even though you're essentially powerless.

I mean I still enjoyed that content too, I feel like there wasn't really anything to do about this post release and the open world they have is still really nice.
I just hope they think more about this when designing the sequel, and for the love of god let me style my cybernetics.

It really feels like the story was written before they decided to make it open world sometimes, I think it would have been a much stronger game if it was more mission based and V had a more set personality like Geralt.

Yeah I felt like this a lot in cyberpunk too, oh god oh fuck my brain is dying I need to hurry, oh wait let's just do some cool street racing and small jobs for gangs??
