Took myself out for a fancy dinner in the Bergen Fishmarket. A bowl of crab claws, some gravlaks with sweet mustard sauce, and fresh bread smeared in seaweed garlic butter. Yum

Caught David Attenborough's #Oceans documentary at the cinema the other night, and incredible to see on a big screen. Some stunning underwater filming and powerful storytelling, including highlighting the scale of industrial krill fishing in #Antarctica. #DavidAttenborough #blueplanet

Portraits of the Europa voyage crew as they complete the first stage of their hands aloft training, climbing up the ratlines on the shrouds to reach the first platform on the main mast. From here they'll learn to move on the yards and work with the sails. #BarkEuropa #PolarGuide #Antarctica

More long bus journeys into Chile and time chilling in my tent after days of hiking mean I was able to get through the audiobook of Wolf Hall by Hillary Mantel. I feel like I knew the history already but the story brings a new vigour to the characters #amreading #HistoricalFiction

My second day on the #TorresDelPaineCircuit had a different vibe, more like walking in the Shire than Mordor, as I walked from Torres Central refuge to Serón camp. Through gnarled woods to wide vistas, and flower-filled meadows along the Paine River #hiking #TurismoChile

My first day of hiking was an out-and-back trip to the Base of the Towers viewpoint, a safety net to take in the sights incase of poor weather on my final day in the National Park. #TorresDelPaineCircuit #hiking #TurismoChile

The day I headed to Torres del Paine National Park was wet and windy, real Scottish weather as the guy in the gear rental store described it. A bit daunting for setting out on the #TorresDelPaineCircuit #hiking #TurismoChile
