I told all of my friends that if we never, ever have another tornado warning in my town, they can all thank me for having had a shelter installed in my garage. (Honest to God, would totes be worth it.)

jesus. I used to work HR and I constantly tell people. THEY ARE NOT YOUR FAMILY. YOU ARE A LINE ON A SPREADSHEET TO THEM. But my god, the absolute cowardice of companies tossing people aside like that is staggering.
