These particular ones make excellent truffle hunters, I hear...

Note to self: no Bluesky before coffee ☕

The answer is: renewables! It can be quite windy here 🌬️

...or just shower in the garden 🤣

No need for me to relocate then. Have a garage, will start a band. Smashing!

That is a fair point. We'd painted the wall with some magic paint and left a little gap for the air to escape.

Oh, they also ward off the cold, literally: one of the rooms in my house has got this east-facing one-layer brick wall that is completely uninsulated. So I lined it with full height bookshelves & now I can keep the thermostat low and the book count high 😉

Before I even studied Latin, I knew two Latin phrases pertaining to maps: 'terra incognita' and 'hic sunt leones'—when denoting unknown territories.

I love maps. Even now, when planning a holiday, I'd buy a physical copy of the area. When you unfold a map on the kitchen table, it's like you summon some kind of magic—of wonder and adventure.

Nettle & Bone by @tkingfisher.com is also excellent for the season of mists! Hemlock & Silver is less spooky but very enjoyable as well 😀

I love hanging around in graveyards and I rarely party these days but I'm not particularly keen on Cohen's music... So that does not make me a sheep, right? 🤔
October 19, 2025 at 7:27 PM
Legenda sounds beautifully Polish to me :) Congratulations on your new book!

I didn't realise how many photos of sheep I've got on my phone! This one is one of my oldest and, I think, the best. It was such a miserable, monochromatic day—but just look at her! 🐑
