Page of worldbuilding with an NPC - Ranger of the Land Name: Plena Xhenfier (They/Them) Ancestry: Wood Elf History: Abandoned by their family while young, Plena spent several years learning from the natural world around them, and being helped by a community of druids that helped raise them. This gave them a better understanding of the natural world and connected them with the lands of the forest. Encounters: Plena could be encountered after an attack with a beast. It is one of their animal companions who has been infected by a dark curse placed on the wood. Secret: Plena is holding an ancient artifact that seems to cause the dark curse. They don't wish to part with it because of its strong connection to his family. One of the final memories they have of them. Page of worldbuilding with an NPC - Phantom Killer Name: Torrin Littleknife (He/Him) Ancestry: Gnome History: Having spent time living among the streets of the city, Torrin has learned that the only way to survive is to take care of anyone who will look to hurt him. At age 203, Torrin joined a group of assassins who specialised in keeping hidden and using blades conjured using their psychic energies. They became one of the most proficient killers among the assassins that their leader put a bounty on their head to save themselves. Encounters: Torrin is a great example of a villain, especially in an adventure where the mystery of the killer is needed. They work well as a happy looking gnome that can switch to an emotionless and fervent killer.

Life has thrown a few obstacles in my way at the end of last year. But #DungeonYear is back!

I'm hoping to find a way to catch up with myself by making sets of days based on a theme.

Page of worldbuilding with an NPC - Mayor of Faranvale Name: Daryl Bransby (He/Him) Ancestry: Grassfolk History: Once just a simple farmer in Faranvale, Daryl became the mayor through a collection of political moves that resulted in him becoming a more popular member of the community by providing discounts for the businesses and influential people in the town. Secrets: Daryl's political appointment was to serve his own ends. Along with the Captain of the Guard (NPC-003), they have been allowing the smuggling of ancient artifacts of significant value. In doing so, both of them have taken their own cut of ancient powers to protect themselves. One of Daryl's early dealings with the smugglers led to him killing the beloved previous mayor. Page of worldbuilding with an NPC - Captain of the Guard Name: Thalos Marefoot (He/Him) Ancestry: Human History: For years, Thalos has served the community. First as a simple member of the guard. Once he took down an invasion of strange creatures single handedly, resulting in a commendation by the guard and eventually his current position as Captain of the guard. Secrets: Along with the Mayor of Faranvale (NPC-002), they have been allowing the smuggling of ancient artifacts of significant value. In doing so, both of them have taken their own cut of ancient powers to protect themselves. Thalos found Daryl over the body of the previous mayor, and in return for not turning him in, he would receive a cut of the profits. Page of worldbuilding with an NPC - Owner of The Silver Flame Name: Yelera Coldstone (She/Her) Ancestry: Dwarf History: Arriving in the town of Faranvale more than fifty years ago, Yelera set up The Silver Flame as a place for everyone to wet their lips and learn more about the goings on in the town. Each patron filled with both drink and gossip. Secrets: Yelara is the persona of a silver dragon who joined the community of Faranvale to allow it to prosper. In doing so, she would be able to establish a lair underneath the settlement, to keep it safer from her other kin. Yelara has long been a fascinated with people. She has always found them to be interesting little creatures, and sometimes seduces them to see how their little minds work. Page of worldbuilding with an NPC - Maester of the Blathrone Millers Name: Krynna Malak'ra (They/She) Ancestry: Fiendling History: Krynna was born in Faranvale and for years has been an integral part of the workforce, particularly in their specialty of weaving. Despite this, they help ensure that craftspeople get paid fairly. Secrets: Krynna died three years ago during an invasion on the town. This current version of Krynna is a shapechanger who took on her form looking for an escape from the artificer that created them. As a result some strange decisions have been made by Krynna since this time. Those who were close to Krynna have found themselves suspicious, until they revealed that they had been altered by magic during the invasion.

Day 10 of #dungeonyear!

I'm still quite unwell, but I wanted to get myself up to date.

Continued working on some divine beings of a world... Who knows what this will lead to! Wanted to take the prompt in a different direction.

I've been quite unwell the past few days so I wasn't able to post my work as well. But, I wanted to compile it all together for you all!

I wanted to try out Pamphlet of Pantheons, so I put together some deities for a world!

Claimed to have a "darker" persona. Raging berserker known to thirst for blood rather than use strategy. Worship: Temples are typically dedicated fighting pits or war rooms. Generals often pray to Fury Blade before a large battle to bless their side in the conflict. Some magical blades are inscribed with the name of Fury Blade to imbue it with some divine energy. Worship: Many teachers and guardians worship the Mother of the Moon to help protect the children they cared for. She is said to be empowered on a full moon, with some of her chosen granted an extra protection. White skin with some black lines traversing their skin. This is said to be their "ancient form". Their modern form is shown as a cage with solid gold bindings. Large runes run out from the cage itself with the word Atarisa emblazoned into it. Worship: Atarisa is not traditionally worshipped by clerics. Usually people feel connected to another power that empowers them.

Today I had a mishap with my whole page going missing after I'd just finished it. So maybe, I'll come back to the town of Faravale later for you all...

In recent years, some dark dwarves have taken over the room and have started to develop their own temple in this place to the god of darkness and madness. Upon entering this room, there are notable dwarven statues that have been moulded and changed to match the frame of the dark god. These altered statues line the wall behind the altar. Well! Today (24th November) marked my first day of #DungeonYear! (Thanks to @catoblepon.bsky.social for inspiring me)

Here is my first steps into it, making an encounter table that focuses on the underground. The hope is to link several of my pages together...
