In English, if you want to tell someone to go for it / take a risk, you might say “you only live once” (or YOLO). But my favourite international equivalent is the Polish raz kozie śmierć. It means “the goat dies once” (literally “once, goat death”)

RSPCA: Are they moving?
ME: Not sure. But that would explain the suitcase.

@gwr.com TUAG is my right. I'm due to get a train from an unstaffed station. I can't book assistance because I don't know what train I'll need to catch. So what do I do? I won't be able to find the conductor on the train I need to board

The Equalities Act / DDA have existed since 1995. Despite this, I have to complain every single year to @plymouthcc.bsky.social because they supposedly don't have technology to ensure that letters are sent in a readable format. I've lost count of the amount of time I've spent

Today is National Ride Your Horse to a Bar Day (really), which seems the perfect occasion to mention that my favourite Icelandic word about drunkenness is hestfær. In this context it means “drunk but still able to ride a horse”

Kim Leadbeater wants Assisted Dying to be raised with children (and others lacking mental capacity).

As a child you rightly can't;
Get a tattoo
Drink alcohol (with caveats)
Get married
Consent to sexual acts

BUT if you happen to be disabled kid, you should be able to consent to death apparently.
