“Microscopic particles emitted from brake pads can be more toxic than those emitted in diesel vehicle exhaust, a study has found.”

People generally associate pollution from cars as being from exhaust pipes… but that’s only part of the problem with cars.
Brake pad dust can be more toxic than exhaust emissions, study says
Research shows move to electric vehicles may not be enough to enable pollution from cars to be eradicated

this is purely theoretical a president could hypothetically do something like this:
1) Announce policy that will destroy trade which will make stocks plummet.
2) Buy all the stocks.
3) Retract your policy, watch the market recover and stocks to back up.
4) Sell the stocks you bought.
5) Get rich.

I'm not an accelerationist and I don't think there's much good in this, but it is interesting to witness the United States willingly dismantling the global American hegemony - and openly declaring the end of US unipolar power at the world stage. Alexander Dugin must be so thrilled.

Fastest block ever: I got a follow from someone whose bio (that had a Danish flag) said "I follow all Danes". Not me you don't.

I think Bluesky is a great platform and I’m here to stay. However, a bookmark function would make the experience SO much better and much more functional for research/ information gathering, especially for reporters. Pretty please @support.bsky.team @bsky.app ?

For 25 years Denmark has been one of the most aggressively pro-american countries in Europe. The result of this is that the US is now trying to break up the Danish Commonwealth by annexing Greenland. The benefits of being a loyal part of the American empire are dwindling

Just had a long paper accepted in the journal of Marine Ecology, which I am pretty excited about because I'm neither a marine ecologist nor any kind of biologist. Deleuze and Arctic Charr might not be a combination anyone has made yet.

Okay, since I'm not doing anything else on here, I might as well say something about who I am and what I do by listing (and thus promoting) my writings.

A typical European car spends 1/5th of its driving time looking for parking. Its 5 seats only move 1.5 people, and it’s been getting bigger & heavier. 86% of its fuel never reaches the wheels, and most of the energy that does is needed to move the car itself, not the people in it.

Sound efficient?

Day two on this thing. Suddenly got a bunch of followers in one day. There's really not much reason to follow me. I don't write interesting stuff on here.

First day on Bluesky. Apparently my follow-clicks are not getting registered. Unless it's just capped at 6?
