Poison making is technically part of her work in that she has to keep her people supplied, but it's something she and Astarion can do together

Sufficiently awful memories or a drastic change in someone's behavior for the worst can ruin something beautiful. For instance, if Astarion had ascended, she would have found his eyes terrifying and repulsive in the second before she stabbed him because of the change in how he looked at her
