SAP transformed years ago into a cloud service company. Moving from software sales to outcome delivery, via subscriptions, managed services & platform capabilities (Ariba, SSF, FieldGlass, Concur etc). S/4HANA & RISE are just slow vehicles for dragging reluctant customers toward that future.
