Obviously I should study up

it feels like you're intentionally misreading, when the intent is clear. I am referring to the distinction you yourself originated. how is that not obvious

NYT Sunday edition:

Our big takeaway from the Epstein emails? How much this town's nightlife has changed over the years.

Something something journal of record.

As a kid riding with my dad, when we passed a logging truck he would call them murderers. Only later did I realize our house was made of wood.

But that kind of thing is only possible for a country with a big unoccupied desert in its interior, surely!

I too had a teenage Rand phase, but interestingly the spell was broken when I read an old review.

Whittaker Chambers, 1957:

It's an interesting survey, but these results did give me pause. Aren't these the same scenarios? Do nothing, 5 die; or do something, 1 dies who otherwise wouldn't've but the original 5 imperiled people survive.

Gonna tell my kids these got their name from a famous jewel heist, having been invented so that would-be thieves couldn't get in through the windows again.

@debbartlette.bsky.social I am afraid you are mistaken, nothing in the article addresses my question. Feel free to let me know what passage I am overlooking.

(Hope it isn't this one)

Unfortunately, the DSM sort of requires suffering or dysfunction (or however you want to think of it).

Man I'm not sure this is the hill you wanna lie on

Just to be quite clear, the margin of error for this specific crosstab isn't even 2.7. Read the results before you write an "article" about it in which you misinterpret your own graph.
September 27, 2025 at 11:57 PM
Friend, why did you write a whole ass article about it and not read it

Your question was not initially about specific political stances. I answered it using a very standard definition of a term you demanded a definition for. Now you insist it's about specific political stances. So maybe you can see why I might wonder, umm, what you're really trying to get at.
September 21, 2025 at 8:25 PM
Do you consider your initial question answered? (see pic)
September 21, 2025 at 8:12 PM
First, I already acknowledged OP was showing a bot (see pic). As I indicated clearly already, I'm not talking about the fake person posted by OP. If you missed that I said that, and you only want to talk about OP, no hard feelings, you just missed it.

Second, your question is morphing, isn't it?

Maybe I'm being obtuse, I just mean it's not possible to determine someone has a condition, except by a trained practitioner evaluating them directly.

DSM says, for example, "DSM-5 diagnostic criteria and text are primarily designed to assist clinicians in conducting clinical assessment."

If you are a Black American, the existence of museums that discuss how horrible slavery was, in the past, IS NECESSARY for any chance of a bright future.

I'd suggest this polling result reflects underlying partisan leanings of the Texan electorate.

Unless you think one or the other candidates for Railroad Commissioner really scored a bunch of crossover votes.

6.1M for the Republican, 4.3M for the Democratic candidate.
