I definitely get that frustration. I spend a lot of time looking at artists I really like the style of and going 'What are they doing that I'm not?'

I've found that getting, and giving, critique online is hard. You can never be quite sure where the line is that will hurt someone's feelings. A lot of my improvement comes from self reflection.
