a lot of Gundam-type faceplates do have those lines that make them look like they're crying, I noticed this when panel lining my Strike and F91 gunplas in particular while it's especially obvious in Destiny where it's part of the design

maybe I'm a little biased with my own interpretation of the series, but I don't believe that the Newtype of GQuuuuuuX is meant to be the same Newtype of MSG -> CCA in terms of its true meaning

the Kamiki Burning evolution gave it a tachi as an homage to Domon but aside from being able to light itself on fire and shoot a comically 神-shaped beam from its shoulder (i am being serious) it still only has that tachi as a side weapon
