Spent a few days laying in the mud watching people for Uncle Sam.

Now I'm reveling in having free time to indulge in my interests.

I work on old motorcycles and Landcruisers, and not often, but sometimes, I use them.

Discovering Peet’s Coffee: A Texas Perspective

I have a long history with Peet's Coffee. Like any reasonable coffee snob, I was aware of Peet's as a roaster and shop. Since there are no Peet's locations I am aware of anywhere in Texas, I rarely encountered it when shopping. I often saw the bags of…

I have a long history with Peet's Coffee. Like any reasonable coffee snob, I was aware of Peet's as a roaster and shop. Since there are no Peet's locations I am aware of anywhere in Texas, I rarely encountered it when shopping. I often saw the bags of grounds on the pedestrian coffee aisle, and walked right past it. That simple fact kinda turned me off to it back in the day, and I never bought any.

This was a high anxiety event because it had been sitting for ten years, and I knew it had a little fuel in it, but not enough to protect the steel inside. It took a while to emotionally prepare myself for a tank full of rust and flakes and the real potential that I would not be able to use it or the fuel pump.

I have this Samsung refrigerator

My icemaker freezes up about once a month. I have tried various ways to thaw it quickly, but this last time a leaf blower worked like a champ.

This is my first Ducati. A 1995 900SS SP.
Sadly this bike was stolen after about 18 months of ownership.

On a less somber note, check out my uber stylish jorts and Kaepa shoes.

I was the pinnacle of 1995 cool. 😂

Such a great engine note. Not quite my 996, but equally as good, and unique enough to have very much its own identity.
Curious to see if video posts up ok here on the Bluesky. If so... Here's a quick snippet from yesterday... Autumn riding in Portland, OR on my Triumph Scrambler 900.

I will be posting some odd era photos here to sort of fill in my "timeline" so to speak.

With so many bots for so long on the other socials, I think it's important to establish that we are human, and not dumping AI BS on here if were going to interact meaningfully.

So my son was leaning toward a new Triumph 450X Scrambler, but in the "bang for your buck" department, I'm steering him back toward a Street Scrambler.

Just look at this thing...

Does anyone know who's bike this is? I believe it is a mild custom...

If all you're doing here is fanboying (or girling, or personing) BSKY here, do me a favor and block me.

I don't want to see that all day. Don't you realize it's just the same thing going on over "there," just with a different target for the fawning?

Finishing my Time Alpe D’Huez.

This bike is my retirement gift to myself after thirty years in the US Army. I’ve not been without a bike for 25 years, but with four kids, they’ve always been a bit of a “what I could get” proposition.

Not this one.

It’s exactly as I wanted it.

I find myself obsessing about the Triumph Rocket 3…

This is so not me.

I did take a long trip on a Honda Valkyrie once, and while I was a hardcore sport bike guy then, I thoroughly enjoyed that bike, so there is precedence…

It's been a long road, gettin' from there to here...

Maybe this wont suck as much. Since I've already been followed by a porn bot and this account is minutes old, I don't have the highest of hopes though.
