It’s fine I guess. At least I got see my aunt and thankfully she’s gotten much better since. Just shitty I don’t have a job now.

LITERALLY!! Like my aunt was in the hospital in a severe state.. I had to go see her.

My manager said it was fine. Then told me 3 days before I was supposed to leave that I could only have the weekend since she was having surgery that Friday I was leaving.

They terminated my employment after telling them (IN ADVANCE) I’d be out for 10 days due to a family emergency and having to travel out of state for it. Called it “job abandonment”
