Ooops! I just saw this. And yes - that is the antipodean joy especially if you are travelling to avoid the cold. The flowers are still blooming, I scored two gladiolis this year but the heat has started to cause some wilting.

It all looks ok. I think there was hail damage elsewhere.

Write to the editors, Ned! Ask for corrections & let them know where you stand on this issue. I was speaking to a library journal editor about this & was told that their journal policy was very strict on AI & checking sources. If the publishing journal has a policy on this, point that out too.

LLM extruded essays are like being cornered by the most boring person at a party while they monotone monologue small talk at you, convinced that they’re pronouncing something profound.

It's on brand for a Tuesday commute. Maybe I will. It certainly was not pleasant.

Shaken, Kaetrin! Plus my hip hurts from bracing myself for half an hour travelling on a sideways seat. But otherwise all good!

This is so important. Friendly community builds helps feeling connected. Also, not all friendships have to be instant. I have had friendly acquaintances from play dates take 15 years to turn into deep and supportive friends.

...also I am obviously out of posting practice. Didn't mean to sound exasperated. Sorry! 🤦‍♀️
