Got it! The Lego credit card processor seemed to be having issues when we were trying it (kept throwing errors) but going through PayPal worked. Good luck everybody!!

Snagged one of the Market Basket ornaments. I still need the parking lot Christmas tree, but the clock was my fave. Glad I found one.

For an alternative to the tuxedo tshirt, may I suggest the bike jersey version.

When my husband biked up Mt. Washington in 2022, he wore a tuxedo bike jersey. Photo proof that lycra hides sweat well, and for a politician, I'm sure it'd be great for coffee stains and uh... anything else, better.

Good morning very specifically to this chubby little mockingbird

I have joined the millennia of women before me who are affectionately/annoyedly scolding their cats for playing with the yarn while warping the loom

I have lived in Massachusetts almost all of my life and must be weird that I don’t mind taking leaves every year (yes raking, no leaf blowers). Moments like this still stop me in my tracks on a Saturday afternoon.

I recorded a video for our N2K and T-Minus 2025 retrospective and Pumpkin decided to join me, and for the record I am absolutely 100% okay with being upstaged by my cat.

Another shot of tonight’s aurora from my front porch:

A bit further out but visible in Chelmsford

Oh that is quite something. The eerie green glow is very visible to the naked eye here in Massachusetts, the pink looks like a very dark fuschia to the eye but reveals itself more on camera.

Busy making a certain sweater for my daughter. Appliqué on appliqué on appliqué… totally figuring this all out as I go.

This was the delay situation at DCA yesterday. The slow rolling cascading failures just keep adding up - very hard to imagine how on earth this can continue.
I’m grateful my flight was only delayed about 2 hours. I saw some really gnarly 6+ delays in some cases.

As I was going home last night I saw this bike box (I checked, it was empty) by the trash in Central Parking and I just have so many questions. I could be wrong but this doesn't look like a bike box for travel but rather a purchased frame?? Why at the airport though??

In DC today for DataTribe’s Cyber Innovation Day. I’ll be speaking on a panel around 2pm and representing all things Space in the cybersecurity domain. Woo!

My sweet void Pumpkin, looking at the camera, as she snuggles with Cookie on a cat tree. They barely fits but still they sits

my beautiful girl Chili, who passed away this past Saturday, in all her floofy calico glory just a few months ago.
October 23, 2025 at 5:47 PM
If I sound a bit sullen this week, it's because my beloved calico cat Chili is in her final days. Her sister Pickles died last year, I was so hoping we would have more time with Chili. This is a picture of them both 13+ years ago, in their youth.
They were both ferals. Such sweet companions, both.

Could not have asked for a better day for the Lowell Kinetic sculpture race. I ADORE this event so much. Engineering + art = an absolute delight. Wish I had some decent pictures but I was biking along with the race and having too much fun! Thank you @lowellkinetic.bsky.social !!!
