Regarding the naming issue this was fixed in a later version (1.1.1)
Here's the quote from the changelog 😁:

"Prevent switching project tabs and saving, if a native save file dialog is already open. This prevents rare cases of saving two open projects with the same name, thus leading to data loss."

So the likely solution for you would be changing the shortcut from: Edit>preferences>shortcuts>tool modifiers>change tool mode
(You'd have to make a new "shortcut profile" first)

Ctrl is also a short used BY pixelorama that quickly sets some "alternate" properties (e.g in shading tool it changes lighten mode to darken mode and vice versa) and in colorpicker it changes the target tool slot.

The problem with the colorpicker is that when you switch the tab (e.g From pixelorama to chrome) you use Ctrl+tab 🧵
