If Paramount agrees to settle this frivolous lawsuit, it will send the message that news outlets should stop reporting that angers Trump - or other powerful people. But the right to criticize government officials is at the heart of the 1st Amendment and our democracy. www.nytimes.com/2025/01/30/b...

So, the very same Republicans who said they blocked the release of the House ethics report on Matt Gaetz because he is no longer an elected official, are vowing to further investigate Hunter Biden, who is not now, and has never been, an elected official?

The House voted 204-198 to block release of the Gaetz ethics report. All Dems present voted to release, along with Republican Tom McClintock of CA. Every other Republican present voted to keep Gaetz's violations covered up.

Again, Gaetz is accused of sex trafficking and statutory rape.

1. In April 2024, California raised the minimum wage for fast food chains to $20/hour

The industry claimed it would be devastating & require significant job cuts and prices increases

Here is what really happened: workers got a raise, prices went modestly, and the industry continued to add jobs
What really happened after California raised its minimum wage to $20 for fast food workers
What would happen to the fast food industry if it had to pay its workers something closer to a living wage?

my biggest issue with Bublé singing Santa buddy instead of Santa baby is the arrogance to preemptively reject Santa’s advances. You’re friend zoning St Nick when in reality you should BE so lucky that he’d let you explore his body
