With 27 days left, 1710 have entered. I am ever the optimist!

And imagine me seeing you quoting a post quoting Braudel after I just bought two of his books over the weekend.

OK, so future book set in Edo Japan, main character a traveling poet, maybe along with a ronin and escaping princess, sort of Tokaido Road/Cloud of Sparrows-esque with big daimyo/emperor politics, but with the Kay depth of character and enriched settings? If so, take my money! 🙂

Thanks! I have ordered The Hollow Crown, Christian Materiality and Montaillou, they look terrific! My collection is getting bigger. In broader scope, I just added Orientalism as well.

This one looks very interesting, I have read a number of books on medieval manuscripts lately and this would be a different angle. The only one I am seeing is on Amazon for over $150, so I will have to keep my eye out for it in a cheaper version, Thanks!

Awesome, I have looked at The Stripping of the Altars, but never pulled the trigger, but this is the confirmation I needed, just ordered it, thanks!

Awesome, I just ordered English Villagers in the 13th Century and Medieval People (which I may have actually read!). Thanks!

Interesting, with so much snow expected in the south, I am hearing.

Understood! 🙂

That is arguably sittable after the brushing!

Yes, those exact two! I expressed my disgruntledness to my wife, saying that an (a?) historical education leads to a mildly anachronistic vocabulary.

Just a rebel!

Possibly, but doesn't look like broccoli at all and looks an awful lot like cauliflower, but will be fun to watch. 🙂
