If they freeze, then I plant the other plants outside at the safe last frost date.
But between climate change and having a slightly warmer microclimate at my house, I pretty much never lose a plant. Though now that I said that, I've jinxed it.

Experienced gardener here. I planted my first tomato plants outside today. I always start twice as many plants as I actually want to grow and plant some outside as soon as I think we might be done with frost. If they survive, I have very early tomatoes, and extra plants to give away.

I read someone's comment that we don't need NOAA anymore because now you can just get the weather from your phone.

I am not sure whether you are saying you just discovered an account called "I will block for pedantry" or whether you are saying that you just realized that you will block pedantic writers? Neither of those really makes sense, so probably it's something else.
