They were so good! Saw them in Philly last winter and it was such a great show!

The OTHER shitty thing I haven’t been thrilled about is them recasting a key character in Yakuza KIWAMI 3 and replacing the original performance with the likeness and voice of an actor accused of SA. Especially jarring given that they’ve canned other actors for much less.

Even then, the Director’s Cut is kinda mid and underwhelming. The original Y0 director isn’t even involved in it. Mostly it adds in a clunky English dub and new parts that undermine a lot of the tension and narrative stakes and consequences of the original story.

Well, today’s big thing is that they’ve confirmed they’re delisting Yakuza 0 to make room for the Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut instead. They are trying to make it seem like digital owners are getting a good deal by paying $15 to “upgrade” and offering nothing to physical media owners.
