Not a huge haul, but I still love seeing all these little buddies lined up. Got most of the tomatoes in before frost- a couple gallons roasted, a couple more to go! And the hoop house held the heat so we will still have more. An excellent problem in the midst of hard stuff. #gardensky #zone6b

Looked at the overnight lows, and ran outside for some night gardening. Not a euphemism. 😉. I'm very grateful for the hoop house that is protecting most of our tomatoes and basil. But we had to grab the fruit outside the hoop. Yay for basil! #gardensky #zone6b #nightgardening

Got my hands in the earth and planted some fall greens seed today. Also told the zinnias and peppers what a great job they are doing. I think a critter ate the potatoes. Marshmallow finally achieved this year! Now we just need rain #gardensky #zone6b

I am attending #UUAGA from my garden again this year, weeding, planting and listening. Calendula, zinna, and sunflower seeds went in, along with corn seed and corn starts (perhaps ill-advised).

No Kings Pittsfield was great. Food, live music, and at least 6 blocks of marchers. We were back to the park and some were just stepping off! #noKings #indivisible #BerkshireBrigades

Took my own advice tonight and got my fingers in the dirt. It was well past adult dark when I finished, but the beans and squash are in.

Big day in the garden. Dry beans, greens and beets are planted, and two boxes assembled for carrots and melons. Now we just have to fill them 😉 #gardensky #zone6a

Tomatoes are in their 3" pots, ready for their next growth spurt. Gardener's delight, sun golds, and black krim. Peppers next! #gardensky #zone6a

I worked in the garden today and it felt good. Winter rye is tilled under and the perennials are doing their thing. Tomorrow the peas finally go in. #GardenSky #zone6a

Bishop Barber shared a powerful message this morning in front of the Sup Court steps, launching a new Moral Monday campaign. We walked to the Capitol, but not all could enter. Barber was arrested in the Rotunda while praying for moral leadership on the nat'l budget. #MoralMonday #PoorPeoplesCampaign

Looks like the news tomorrow is going to epically suck, so today I finally pulled my overwintered parsnips, and a few tiny carrots that grew late last season. About 10 pounds of sweet heaven, now washed and put away. #NewEnglandGardening #zone6a
