Just finished "The Residence". The last episode's denouement was far too drawn out & could have had 10 mins+ cut to keep pace & punch, without losing any intrigue or suspense.
Series as a whole was an exquisitely written, masterfully lensed, and deliciously performed work of television storytelling.

Finally saw GODZILLA MINUS ONE. This is not a monster movie, but a taut drama with exquisite imagery, fantastic sound design, & crisp narrative arc that captures post-war guilt, PTSD, & national self-reflection with startling honesty... & happens to feature a brilliant monster.

Finally saw GODZILLA MINUS ONE. This is not a monster movie, but a taut drama with exquisite imagery, fantastic sound design, & crisp narrative arc that captures post-war guilt, PTSD, & national self-reflection with startling honesty... & happens to feature a brilliant monster.
Don't stop working for good; fight the evil that seeks to feed off our desire for comfort, even in the arms of ignorance & denial.

The sky is dark above us, sun blotted out by smoke, & air quality is lousy, but otherwise we are presently fine. Burbank has terrific Fire dept. and utilities. Meanwhile, thousands are suffering in the #PalisadesFire #EatonFire and other nearby conflagrations.
