I started rewatching Twin Peaks and it offers some lessons for life: in the face of incomprehensible evil do not forget to appreciate pie, coffee, and trees.

“God is not simply other than our knowledge of Him. It is through God and God alone that we know God. Descartes elaborates on this: We know God because he left a mark of Himself in us; this mark is our self-consciousness. We know God in every act of reason” - Sebastion Rödl

My menswear rundown of what we saw at the inauguration, most notably an America First president wearing what looked to be Italy First tailoring, breaking with an American convention.

An important part of understanding early hacker movies and culture – yes it was that easy. You call a number and you were on the mainframe. You sniff WiFi and you get their password. You type the right URL with # and you see all their pictures.

Today is downstream a world utterly without defenses.
Tons of social webapps used to be vulnerable to stuff like this enumeration attack. This is one of the example's spread in the 2000's on 4chan.

one thing i’m stuck on is this idea that “masculine” energy means license to act like a chud in public, as opposed to more traditional notions of public masculinity, such as those that put a premium on the performance of integrity, honesty, honor and generosity.

Libraries matter more than ever now! They embody a beautiful & brilliant idea that we must never stop defending. The idea that knowledge is free & belongs to EVERYONE. We all need to support our libraries & librarians - especially when people seek to ban books & free thinking. #libraries #books

Amazon might deliver 'convenience', but it can’t replicate the magic of stepping into a quiet bookstore on a rainy day, where the scent of old pages mingles with fresh coffee and every shelf holds the promise of a new adventure waiting to be discovered.
