And now, for some peaceful vibes from the zen of my backyard, taken summer of ‘24. Carmen in pink muzzle, eventually nudged out by Diego in black, supervised by the intrigued Belmont in red.

You say stuff like that me, it’s like opening a tap that can’t be turned off.

Hmm, I’m thinking of that famous painting of God reaching out His hand to touch the fingertip of Adam, only with greyhounds.

Here’s a video of Thomas running with Diego’s uncle, Fawkes. This was taken almost 9 years ago, when Thomas still had the juice. It was a balmy spring morning, and we had the park all to ourselves. You can see Thomas’ joy in his running. The fawn that comes up near the end of the video is Fawkes.

Their Christmas presents came early, so I just had to try them on for size. May I present Master Diego and Belmontissima. Belmont can no longer lurk in the shadows, hiding from me.
