It’s early for them yet. Be patient. You can definitely blanch and freeze it, don’t freeze without blanching though or it’s gross and woody.

I have asparagus that's about 12 years old and I get lots, but it's still under a few inches of snow :( It should appear in the next couple of weeks though, it's supposed to warm up a lot in the next few days!
