Is the Charter Reform Commission haunted? Is there anything we can do about it?

We'll find out at this Wednesday's meeting.

We *need* to get the commission’s support behind these changes at this Wednesday’s meeting.

They are breaking off into committees and don’t have another full commission meeting scheduled until November 19th.

Our leaders committing themselves to LA28 & our city’s green space, while also acknowledging that we could still eliminate the Climate Emergency Mobilization Department (to recover some budget dust), is a very LA City Hall move.

WOW.

Bass’ fundraising has *completely* cratered beyond even the most underwhelming of predictions.

Felt like no incumbent could have a day worse than our city attorney’s, but Bass definitely out did her.

Not a good day for the City Attorney.

Marissa Roy out fundraised her ($177k vs. $142k if you take out Roy's loan) and did so in *half* the time.
August 1, 2025 at 2:56 AM
Feldstein-Soto raised roughly $142k in the first half of the year.

An alarmingly poor haul (to put it mildly) for a citywide incumbent who is facing a very formidable opponent in Roy, who hit the ground running.

Blood is in the water. This should inspire many more to join in.
