A good article. I can relate to the Ker-plunk analogy of the different parts of income stream needed to cobble together a living for artists disappearing year on year. Interesting too that you’re less likely to be a higher earner if you have a PhD, despite more and more teaching posts requiring it

But this week as the unique scent of leaf mold tickles my nose as it awakes from the latest bout of Covid, I can’t help feel beckoned to the deep sleep of winter as I feel the need to rest and rejuvenate for the next cycle.

There’ll still be things for you to buy - it’s just no longer a sustainable thing for me mentally or financially to make art for the algorithms dictated to by social media companies owned by billionaires.

In the New Year, the website might look a little different as I will be changing the emphasis of it being a predominantly selling platform to representing my practice as an artist. (Pics are WIPs made for the sake of making)
