I didn't see Pokemon Mystery Dungeon in the Nintendo Direct yesterday,

so I turned Mario Tennis Fever into it. (I'd call it an upgrade. :))

A 3D scene rendered in the MikuMikuDance program and recreating a scene from the newly-announced Mario Tennis Fever game, replacing the baby characters with Pokemon versions of their respective Mario characters, and taking place on the tunnel of Hazy Maze Cave from Super Mario 64 DS. Donkey Kong is unchanged from the scene, still using his Bananza design (which here is a custom model) and being shocked at the transformed cast, if not even moreso than in the trailer. The transformed characters are denoted by their hats. Luigi is turned into a Tepig, and is on the leftmost end of the crew, sitting on his behind instead of standing up, looking at his newfound hooves in shock. His ears also slightly pierce through his cap. Peach is turned into a Snivy, and is still crawling on the ground, now having a more surprised expression with a wide-eyed mouth and angry eyes. Her crown is balancing on the spherical back of her head. In the center of the picture, Mario is turned into an Oshawott, sitting on the floor in confusion, mouth agape and looking back towards Wario and Waluigi. His cap is slightly too big. On the right of Mario, Wario got turned into a Meowth due to both of their greedy natures. He's standing, inspecting his own anatomical changes by bending over downwards to look at his own body, mouth agape in surprise. His cap is a bit flat on his head. Waluigi is turned into a Treecko, and sitting annoyedly next to the confused Wario, his expression seeming mostly angry. His cap feels a bit deformed compared to his new head. Today is PMD Day!
The franchise that first showed me Pokemon could be peak, I grew attached to the eponymous creatures in PMD2 so much that the plot of Black/White hit a bit close, heheh... 😅

My Gates headcanon team~ (Leftmost Emolga is my mascot, Volty, as a partner) #UnovaForSmash #MysteryDungeon
A MikuMikuDance scene, overlaid with a white fog or mist around them ontop of a Post Town background from the referenced game of origin, of several Pokemon posed to ressemble the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Gates to Infinity key art, with some changes such as two alternate protag/partner species swapped out for the user's PMD3 team, and one missing altogether, as well as Dunsparce moved away from floating separately in the middle-top left to being in the bottom right with his pose mirrored to accomodate for the change. Pikachu's pose is on a winking Emolga wearing the crown of Princess Daisy from the Super Mario franchise. Oshawott's pose is replicated for an Oshawott wearing Mario's cap. Snivy is replaced by an Oshawott looking determined, the pose being tweaked to fit his physique and looking more like an Oshawott's regular run. Axew's pose is given to another Emolga, with no accessories. This Emolga is captioned in the post as the user's mascot, Volty, before she got that name and her current design, meaning this lineup was Gates from Volty's point of view. Dunsparce's pose is mirrored and his position changed as aforementioned. Emolga, the NPC of the species from Gates to Infinity itself, is now above him instead of much higher up as well, but his pose is nearly identical save for some spinal column issue. Virizion is behind the Daisy Emolga, Mario Oshawott, NPC Emolga, and Dunsparce, her pose replicated to the best of the user's capacity as quadrupeds are hard ok? Keldeo is also behind the leftmost Emolga & Oshawott, his pose replicated a bit more accurately. And then there's Hydreigon above these two, his pose very much roughly estimated... look, his wings are hard to pose, I TRIED. As of today, I have officially collected every single Unova sync pair in #PokemonMastersEX ( #pmex #pokemas ), currently totalling to 76 pairs of trainer & Pokemon.

I started this back when the Unova Villain Arc was going on. Now I can solely focus on new ones. #UnovaForSmash #VoltSwitchMovement
