Nearly finished 0.10, I want to have it out in time for halloween. I've been adding some small visual effects to make the world feel more alive. Also introduced sub-biomes with different colours and foliage. Really happy with it :) #gamedev #indiedev

Currently working on signs and text rendering. I wanna make my sign system really flexible and customisable. Different sign shapes, font sizes, colours etc. Just got the text positioning working correctly, going to work on colour and light. #gamedev #indiedev

Finally implemented better support for community translation in 0.9.5. People have been making translations for a while so I wanted to make sure they could see their hard work in the game. Still a lot of work to go before it is perfect, but it's a start :) #gamedev #indiedev

Been spending a lot of time on making a more robust structure system that allows me to save builds I make and then slot them together procedurally. This allows for much bigger, more complex and more detailed dungeons. This is an early version of the snow dungeon coming in 0.9 #gamedev #indiedev

Just upgraded the painting system in Allumeria so that applying paint to a light will also change the colour of the light emitted! Trying to squeeze as much creative freedom out of my game's systems as possible without filling up the inventory with tons of clutter. #gamedev #indiedev #lighting

New mechanic alert! Painting! 🖌️ 🎨Paint ANY block using the new paint roller item, or one of its special variants. Paint can be applied to any block with no limitations. The result can sometimes look wacky, but I want players to have the freedom to use this to their advantage. #gamedev #indiedev

I've been working on overhauling the fluid system in my game. Now all fluids are on a separate "layer" and can pass through any non-solid blocks. You can see that the water is flowing through the tall grass in this screenshot. #gamedev #indiedev

Working on farming mechanics in Allumeria right now. I really want some interesting systems for the player to experiment with. Here's a sprinkler item that waters crops within a 5x5 area. It triggers automatically, can be hooked up to wires and also looks cool :) #gamedev #indiedev #farming

Blocks can now apply effects to the player when they are stood on. Here is asphalt providing a 25% speed buff when walking on it as an example. #gamedev #indiedev #opengl #opentk #voxels

Working on a radial menu for the hammer to make it easier to choose different block shapes. Considering making it so you don't even need the hammer at all, and can choose what shape you want before placing. #gamedev #indiedev #opengl #opentk #voxels #minecraft #terraria
