My ancestors worked in factories so my parents could go to law school.
“Humans can just go get manual labor jobs if desk jobs are repaired with AI” is both not going to suffice to provide enough jobs and is also going to result in massive societal anger because manual labor jobs often *are terrible*, which is why people have worked hard to avoid them for generations.

Been quietly pleased at the changes in tone with the Truth and Reconciliation stuff this year. It's always felt like the news has been *apologetic* for including this in their news cycles. This year it's feeling a lot more sincere, at least in places.

Can't say this enough. Aesthetics over function is an indicator. Courtesy over honesty is an indicator. If they're more concerned over you swearing than about the human rights violations you're talking about as you swear, you're in fash country.

Opening up 90s/00s park, a park entirely made of stupid consumerist shit like Walmart and Blockbusters and toy ads that these fuckers get so nostalgic over, and then on opening day locking the gate behind them so the rest of us can make society better than this shit.
