Oral antibiotics being used to treat uncomplicated beta-hemolytic Strep bacteremia! #IDSky
In a retrospective study of 232 patients with uncomplicated β-hemolytic Streptococcus BSIs, transitioning to oral antibiotics reduced hospital stay without increasing mortality or complications, suggesting OAT is a safe, effective alternative to prolonged IV therapy. doi.org/10.1017/ash....
