Picked up my Retro Seaspray from the post office this morning. I walked up three hills, why do I live in the mountains 🤦♂️
Anyway, I picked up Seaspray and fuck it looks too nice to open. It brings back memories of Seaspray warming the pegs at Merrylands Kmart. #transformers #nostalgia

As for the Solus Prime vehicle mode not tabbing together, she does but I notice that like Prima, Solus has drop down hips and if you have the hips extended the toy won't lock together in vehicle mode. So make sure the hips are rotated up like the left leg in the photo.

Now, the parts that do actually concern me were the 2 shoulder panels that rotate out for conversion to vehicle mode. Transformation back to robot mode both these panels popped out revealing that the parts are friction fit but the brackets are thin rings and they can *stress.*

As for parts popping off, yeah it's true but I only had 3 separate parts pop off handling Solus Prime. A foot at the ankle and 2 panels on her shoulder pauldrons. The ankle slid out while handling the toy but it's also designed to go back in if it happens. So no, wucken forries.

So I had some apprehension. Once I had the toy in hand I had a thorough look at the figure's build. Joints are tight, aesthetically the Solus looks good but I do agree the breasts are an odd choice. Concept art doesn't have them and the feminine look is conveyed without them.

I watched a review yesterday where the reviewer panned Solus Prime. Parts would pop off and that Solus didn't tab together, fans should wait for a second run of the toy and I had purchased the figure online a few days before watching the review.

A friend gave me their old DX9 Richthofen, 3rd party Powerglide. I don't own a lot of 3rd TFs, I usually envision a lot of panels, thin parts and a complex conversion.
But this was nice, it does so much in so few moves that I was able to transform it without instructions
