NEWS SO BIG WE CAME BACK TO BLUESKY: 7,000 NSW school and government cleaners are being brought back in-house.

This starts with 600 cleaners from the Hunter Valley and Central Coast with additional protections for the remaining 6400 still working under contract.

Safe support services depend on a stable workforce. But right now, low pay and job insecurity are forcing experienced workers out of the sector. That puts the people they support at risk.

FOOD MANUFACTURING WORKERS: A massive industry strike saw 1,400 dairy workers struck at 13 Victorian sites in 2023 for industry high standards. That same year, Ingham's workers in SA and WA led coordinated strikes, proving state borders don’t divide us in the fight for fair conditions.

SECURITY GUARDS & CLEANERS: In 2023-24, airport security and cleaning workers coordinated nationwide actions. From Sydney to Melbourne to Brisbane, they won pay rises up to 7%, converted casual roles to permanent, and set new standards in aviation.
