Happy to see more units but at a median rent of $2100 and minimum wage at $16.50, & median income at $37,400 just how are they going to be rented? There is a mismatch between those looking for rental accommodation and the available unit rents. Need A LOT more public #housing! #rent #income #nspoli

They talk to each other, share resources and remember... and we just think of trees/forests as a resource to plunder. Sigh
What do trees remember?
Until recently, little was known about how memory functions in trees which experience decades, even centuries, of shifting environmental pressures.

And the Nova Scotia government is positioning itself as a Methane Mecca, ending the fracking ban and opening up the offshore to drilling for gas.
I know this is obvious but it's always worth repeating: fossil gas is not a climate solution. The worst, most deadly scenarios always feature the most gas, and the least-bad scenarios always feature the least gas.

Advocates concerned Nova Scotia could reject Halifax bylaw protecting Dartmouth Cove – Halifax
Protesters gathered outside Province House on Wednesday said they are concerned Halifax’s proposed bylaw protecting Dartmouth Cove from infilling will be rejected by the provincial government. Advocates and community members want the cove to be protected and for the province to listen to residents. “This has been a pretty political process in that it’s a grassroots, transparent community organization fighting for what they believe in,” Jill Brogan with Friends of Dartmouth Cove said.

2nd Nov. 2025 marks the 25th anniversary of the ongoing human presence off-world.

That is, humans have continuously occupied the ISS for exactly 25 years today.

So if you're <= 24 years old, you've never lived in a world where humans were *only* terrestrial-based.
