when people tell me they “hate cats,” all i hear is that they don’t know how to respect clear boundaries, and dislike when those boundaries are enforced.
There's also something to be said about hating cats (and thus cat ladies) is a sublimated form of misogyny. The negative traits cat-haters ascribe to cats line up creepily well with misogynistic views on women (haughty, unknowable, disloyal, looking to be pampered only, crafty, etc.).

My entire career has been education and training and I’m so sad to see young people treated with brutality for peaceful protest. Not shocked, but sad
What comes next will be a result of that and I don’t want to hear anyone ask “why are the kids so angry”
