Last year, BIOFIN Philippines launched “Art for Nature" - an auction of underwater photos of Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park by Wildlife Conservation Photographer Noel Guevara. Since then, 35 pieces have been sold, raising US$5,368 for coral reef conservation.

In #CostaRica, the Indigenous Tourism RAICES Incubator Program supported 28 #tourism projects and contributed to the sustainable management of 1,891 hectares of forest.

Each project received non-refundable funds and training to develop tourism services. www.biofin.org/news-and-med...

In 2019, #Malaysia introduced the Ecological Fiscal Transfer (EFT), an incentive encouraging subnational governments to conserve marine resources & wildlife. Since then, $120M has been allocated through EFT, creating 350K hectares of new protected areas. malaymail.com/news/malaysi...
