Had quite a few Commodore 64 disk games arrive today. Might not be till Christmas that I actually a chance to test them, but it'll be a fun task.

In this Connect 4 clone, these aliens are apparently diving into a teleporter, but it does look more like they're being sent plunging to their death.

I had a BBC delivered the other day and set it up earlier.. I could obviously do with the workstation!

As the miSTer BBC core doesn't support real cassettes, I resorted to buying an actual BBC, so now I can test BBC games on the TV and Acorn games on the miSTer.
Not sure where I'm going to store the BBC when I'm not using it though... it's a rather beefy setup.

I looked up Crash's December '86 cover and there would certainly have been a contrast in quality seeing those magazines side-by-side on a shelf

Although the Altai on the right is my go-to tape player (and it's nice and small too), I do try and pick up spares when I can, but it seems a lot have faults these days, even when they look well looked after.

I remember enjoying Olli & Lissa back in the day and was surprised when Olli & Lissa 3 came out, when I'd never seen a second game. Now I've ended up with all three and it's hard to even tell that Halloween is an Olli & Lissa game.
Oddly, there don't seem to be many copies of Halloween around.

I was testing some MSX tapes last night and my 50-year-old eyes didn't appreciate trying to work out which colours from the copy protection I had to enter.

Had some MSX bits arrive yesterday and rather enjoyed this review of 'The Boss' and its helpful screenshot. I googled to see if Peaksoft fared better after this game, but this looks to be their only release.
