2) The TikTok CEO is a special guest at the inauguration. Nothing Biden did would ever have stopped TikTok from going dark. They did this as a publicity move to give Trump a talking point, a win. It’s all a facade. Now Trump has TikTok, meta, and X. He will control the narrative full scale.

I work for the GOP but I will never downplay the achievements of Biden-Harris. I’m also not MAGA and I believe in country over party.

A lot of the proposed DOGE cuts sound good to ill informed MAGA but to the politicians they are against it bc of what it ACTUALLY means for jobs in their district, if they’ll lose votes in certain demos etc.

Yes I think so. Trump came out in support of h1B visas as a result and that angered maga. MAGA is turning on Elon and Vivek and I think Elon is overstepping. Trump might shelf him for a while. Not sure the effect on DOGE or if that will get them back into ppls good graces once it starts.

I wrote that to clarify because I think accuracy is important. The govt is afloat bc of Dems, not Johnson. GOP would be just fine if he let it shutdown and refused to work with Dems until Trump was inaugurated.

Johnson kept the govt open with the assistance of Dems bc we needed a 2/3 vote. Dems are not why he wasn’t recalled, Trump told challengers to back down this Congress and Johnson is respected by most Republican congressmen (just not freedom caucus) Also the speaker vote is Jan 3 not 2.

It was never something the govt didn’t know about. Congress isn’t briefed on everything unless there’s a need to know. When social media made it need to know, they were. It wasn’t aliens or nukes lol

I ask how it’s an external force when it’s Elon and Vivek posting things themselves and MAGA influencers responding. They never have an answer.

As you have seen it’s out! There’s less detail in this than the one I saw but most of it is in there. The general sentiment on the hill from the GOP is he’s trash but they didn’t like him before the report. But in public they are calling it a hit piece.

I worked 16 hours the Friday the budget passed. I was so exhausted I slept on my office couch. People are 100% doing their vice which for me is coffee, lack of food, and not enough water.

Sorry I’ve been on vacation! A lot of folks think Elon is overstepping his bounds and is acting like he’s in charge. He’s rubbing a lot of folks the wrong way.

So at the moment her disability will not be affected as any changes to funding will need to come up for individual votes next Congress.

The CR that passed is a clean CR (all funding the same as FY24) plus additional funds for disaster relief and farm aid. The debt ceiling suspension was removed from the final CR and the “pork” from the first CR will be voted on in single issue bills starting in Jan.
