Finally getting around to posting some of the deeply inspiring art I saw at SITE Santa Fe’s biennale. Honestly, I walked away with that buzzing feeling you get when art hits just right – equal parts awe, wonder, and “I need to get back to doing some kind of art RIGHT NOW.”

Incredible toy collection donated by Alexander Girard to the Museum of International Folk Art in Santa Fe. Over 10,000 pieces! I could have spent weeks looking at every single display.

I brought these two back from my last trip to Mexico. I love them. I also think they might come alive at night and explore the house ✨

Last Memorial Day, the husband and I spent a lovely weekend at Sequoia Nat’l Park celebrating 20 years together. It's crazy to think how much time that is! Feeling incredibly lucky, loved (and old!) 👴

Extra night in LA led me to Chromasonic Field - it actually lived up to the hype. Went in exhausted from work, left feeling surprisingly refreshed. Worth checking out if you're in town. 🟩 🟦 🟪

Yesterday I wandered into a perfect exhibit at Arte Abierto: Ugo Rondine's massive sun/moon rings alongside rooms full of drawings by 100 Mexican children. Couldn't have asked for a better reminder that light exists even when everything seems dark lately.

Searched everywhere in the Bay Area for the original Spanish-language edition of this book with no luck, but as expected Mexico City delivered. Can’t wait to dive in.

I love bookstores. And I particularly love well-designed ones.

I finally watched Flow last night. What a thoughtful visual poem.
It’s been a while since a movie created such a sense of wonder and tenderness for me, while also showing how things are fragile and how the world can be beautiful and terrifying at once. Anyone else seen it?

Detail from Amy Sheridan’s work at SFMOMA. The way she captures both vulnerability and power is so difficult to achieve. Don’t miss the exhibit!

FKA twigs makes music that sounds like our everyday feelings got lost in a wormhole and came back transformed. Hits different in all the right ways

Visited the Eames Institute in Richmond, CA today – a stunning archive of design that reminds me how great creators approach problems: with curiosity, care, and genuine optimism. A beautiful antidote to current cynicism.

I’ve been dealing with a bad flu since the weekend. First time getting sick outside of Covid. I was feeling quite invincible (and the universe sent me a big reality check!)

I usually go for a walk during lunchtime. One of my favorite routes is to traverse the Embarcadero Center. Love being elevated from traffic and the way the city views are framed in very specific ways.
