We voters put you in office to protect our interests. Your voters have shown that we are angry and want our leaders to mount a real resistance to the Trump/Musk admin. You have continued to say that there is only so much the minority party can do, but we know that votes in cloture are one of the biggest pieces of leverage you hold. By refusing to use this leverage to obstruct the GOP, you are showing us that you do not care about doing anything to protect your constituents. If you do not wish to do your job, you should step aside as minority leader and resign as Senator. The people of New York and the US deserve better, and we will remember your actions when you are next up for re-election.

I know it’s perhaps hard to see from the clip but I’ve heard from folks who were there. The incredulous laughter is directed at Lawler for being a racist clown. In part 2 of the clip (bc Bluesky video limits), Alvarado does flame him for being such a fool, and other Dems have demanded he apologize

It’s recommended you only call your own reps since staffers only tally calls from Constituents. It can definitely feel futile sometimes if you live in a Blue state with reps like yours who generally do a good job. But it still helps!
Why we call our legislators. If opposing, let them know not all constituents are behind them. If they get enough calls, they’ll pay attention. I’d agree: it’s crucial they know they have support so they keep fighting
