it doesn't fit our needs but bestie @bazzite.gg says it's pretty cool!

we pushed a change to our DNF config this morning that may break DNF5 and updating graphically

IF YOU HAVEN'T UPDATED IN THE LAST 24HR YOU CAN UPDATE NORMALLY

🧵(thread with instructions to fix it)

We mixed up! You should follow these instructions to get graphical acceleration working:

September 12, 2025 at 4:28 AM
We enabled graphical acceleration for our WSL users last week.

You could run a game inside WINE inside Linux inside Windows if that's what gets you going.

You can update WSL right now with `sudo dnf upgrade` or wait for us to land this in the Microsoft Store.

Have fun!

yesterday my PC's system drive died, but i didn't want to let it sit there and rot while waiting for the new drive so i just installed @ultramarine-linux.org to a USB flash and played video games. 10/10 worked like a charm

We're retiring our Gitpod image today after they pivoted to something entirely different. Don't think many people used our image but bye bye anyway

We got some new art of Mizuki, chilling at home.

Ultramarine users, this will be rolling to your devices as a wallpaper sometime tonight, so keep an eye out for that system update!

As always, fan art is heavily encouraged! Make sure to tag #mizuki and #ultramarinelinux

small update! if you're using Terra's Nvidia drivers no action is needed, just update normally!
We are aware of some issues facing Nvidia users.

If you're having the kernel panic after UM42 upgrade, try a previous kernel entry and a `dnf upgrade` to fix it

If you're greeted with an unbootable system after updating to kernel 6.15, read this:

Terra 40 is now EOL after one last sync.

If you haven’t already, this is a great time to upgrade to Fedora or Ultramarine 42.

Terra 40 was a big release, when we finally began to find our footing, thank you so much for your support <3

this does affect um users!!!
Terra users may experience degraded performance over the next 2 days as we migrate object storage regions. This is not a full outage but there is a chance for slower downloads in some areas (sorry Europe)

Make sure you're using a metalink in your dnf config so you can access our mirror network!
