No but you are taking generalised population trends and then applying them to specific case individuals which is fallacious and can lead directly to harm. Numerous examples can be highlighted that show people who think “they can tell” getting it wrong.

Just finished the chapter that covered Athelstan among others in Frank Stenton’s Anglo-Saxon England - seems like Alfred gets the press and the monicker and Athelstan is overlooked (though Stenton may well be out of date)

Sumo has always been closely aligned with Shinto - it has not been easy for the Japanese to disassociate the sport from the national religion. It is racist and often obscenely so. But it is getting better.
