This lesser black-backed gull on the River Wharfe, Linton-in-Craven sounded in distress so I went to investigate. It seems it had unwisely decided to tackle an American signal crayfish which was now firmly attached to its chest. Has this ever been recorded before? August 2025. #ukwildlife
